The microphone, a device acquired in pandemic times by me, listens to everything that happens around it, sends this information to the computer through long wires connected to a computer, it requires electricity to work. I use it constantly and for me it is essential to have a microphone, it allows me to sing, talk, chat with my friends, online classes and many other things. This device is indispensable for my daily activities, also for my journalism career. Depending on their use, microphones can be handheld, shotgun, lavalier, and headset, there are microphones for different uses. Microphones have many characteristics and qualities (sensitivity, response curves, etc.) all oriented to the same action, allowing me to practice my voice, make notes for the radio, go on the air and many other activities. The quality of the microphone is also important.

I am in my third year of journalism and it is something that surprises me every year.  My dream career as a kid was to be an airline pilot because I love airplanes and airports.   But when I finished my high school studies, my options were sound engineering, advertising and journalism. I decided to study at the University of Chile because of its prestige, it is a good and recognized public university. My experience is incredible, I have made friends, I take my classes on campus and I do recreational activities, one of them is playing soccer with the university team. In the future I would like to have a job as a journalist, work in radio and television. I like to do reports in the city with cameras and microphones, it's fantastic.

Who Am I?

Hello my name is Claudio Cancino I live in the city of Santiago, exactly in the commune of Maipu. I have gone through 3 different schools. I was born in Chile, Santiago. I have a sister, she is older. I am the youngest, we get along well. In school I studied in the commune of Maipú for a long time. Then in high school I studied two years in Santiago Centro and then I changed again to my last school in San Miguel. My favorite hobbies are playing videogames, riding my bike in the park and listening to music, exactly the pop genre. I study journalism at the University of Chile. I love it because it has radio and television studies. My classmates are very nice and I like coming to campus to study because I have a good time.
